Science and Religion

The debunking of religious belief by scientific fact is a well-worn motif in today’s secular culture. Yet the curiosity of the scientific method owes much to the Christian worldview from which it emerged. This booklet counters the notion that science and religion are incompatible by exploring how James Clerk Maxwell found harmony between his science and his Christian faith. It calls for a Christian spirituality that embraces a critical approach to both science and faith, enabling us to glimpse the unity and purpose at the heart of creation.

Published in 2020 this booklet is number S152 in The Grove Spirituality Series which offers clear and concise explorations of the spiritual and devotional life. (New titles are published quarterly every February, May, August and November.)
