BOOKS
So far I have two published books.
I’m currently planning a third about how Film Clubs can inspire conversations about faith, doubt, and the human experience.
Science and Religion
The debunking of religious belief by scientific fact is a well-worn motif in today’s secular culture. yet the curiosity of the scientific method owes much to the Christian worldview from which it emerged.
This booklet counters the notion that science and religion are incompatible by exploring how James Clerk Maxwell (dubbed the Scottish Einstein) found harmony between his science and his Christian spirituality that embraces a critical approach to both science and faith, enabling us to glimpse the unity and purpose at the heart of creation.

Thoughts of God
‘An equation means nothing to me unless it expresses a thought of God.’ Srinivasa Ramanujan
On the brink of the outbreak of war, two outstanding mathematicians, G. H. Hardy and Srinivasa Ramanujan, come together in Cambridge. One believes that thoughts about God are totally irrational, the other believes that God’s thoughts come to him as he worships or sleeps. The gulf between them is vast, but through their shared passion for numbers they are drawn together into the thrill of discovery.
Thoughts of God is a Lent Course based on the film The Man Who Knew Infinity. It brings the film into meaningful conversation with biblical themes – exile, faith, truth, friendship with God, and the longing for home. This five-week course provides background information, discussion starters, liturgies and questions for personal reflection – everything the busy leader needs for a thought-provoking engagement with some of the fundamental issues of life.
