ABOUT
Andy Colebrooke
I studied physics and materials science at Imperial College, before joining the then Nuclear Engineering Department at Queen Mary College in London. Later, I moved to teaching mathematics at two different secondary schools in Essex, during which time I became a Christian.
I then trained for ministry at Ridley Hall in Cambridge and was ordained in the Church of England in 1994. This has been followed by 20 years of full-time stipendiary ministry, serving across both town and country parishes. I’ve been a tutor on both The East Anglian Ministerial Training Course and the Chelmsford Diocese Course in Christian Studies
Though now officially retired, my ministry continues - preaching, leading worship, facilitating small study groups, and running quiet days. I have published two short books on the relationship between science and faith:
Science and Religion – The Spirituality of James Clerk Maxwell (Grove Books)
and
Thoughts of God – A Lent Course (Circle Books)
I am currently planning a third book - exploring how cinema can inspire fresh conversations about faith, doubt, and the human experience.
